Vegan Chocolate Mousse – Made From Only 3 Ingredients
This super chocolaty and creamy vegan chocolate mousse is perfect if you want to make a delicious dairy-free dessert that looks great – but is still quick and easy to make.
The Secret Weapon: Silken Tofu
Very important for this recipe is, that you use actual silken tofu – not solid natural tofu, which is usually available in the supermarket. This has a too firm consistency and would make the mousse crumbly.
You can find silken tofu in most organic stores, Asia stores or online.
I highly recommend you try Silken Tofu for other recipes as well! It’s perfect for creamy desserts like puddings or as a base for sauces and spreads.
A plus point is also that – unlike coconut milk, for example – it contains many nutrients and lots of protein. So you can turn every dessert into a little protein bomb 😉
How to Make Your Vegan Dessert – Step by Step
It is best to mix the silken tofu in a blender, but a hand mixer or hand blender will also work. The main thing is that it gets nice and creamy!
As a chocolate base, you should definitely use dark chocolate. With milk chocolate, it becomes too sweet to pass as “real” mousse au chocolat. But if this is your thing: Go for it!
